The City Arborist is responsible for the health and care of the city's urban forest, including street trees, and the review of landscape plans. Tree permits are required for the removal of protected trees or for work around trees.

The Community Development Department accepts cash, checks, e-checks, and credit cards,* including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. You can pay online using eTRAKiT or in person. Checks should be made out to: City of Folsom. Checks must include the project or permit number.  If you are a contractor and have a trust account with the City, you can use that account to pay online using eTRAKiT or in person.

*IMPORTANT: There is a service fee of 3% for all credit card transactions whether done in person or online. E-Checks are an alternative to credit card payments and only have a $3.50 service fee. Payment by e-check can be done using eTRAKiT.
