If vegetation is blocking visibility in the street or at an intersection, it is the responsibility of the adjacent property owner or resident to trim the vegetation. Trees on your property are not maintained by the City, but it is important to know there are still regulations about pruning or removing certain perimeter trees on your property. City code requires that there be 14.5' of clearance over the street and 7' of clearance over the sidewalk. You must obtain a permit to prune "street trees"- located within 12.5' from the sidewalk- if you are removing any live wood over 2" in diameter.
