A-Shift
W. Nick Lawlor is the A shift Battalion Chief and oversees facilities management. He earned his A.S. degrees in fire technology and paramedicine from American River College and Sierra College. He is a
third-generation firefighter. Nick was hired by Folsom Fire Department in 2005. Nick has held the position of firefighter/paramedic, engineer, and captain. Additionally, Nick was an EMT and drill instructor at the California Regional Fire Academy. He also served as a trustee for the Sacramento Area Firefighters widows and orphans’ fund. Nick leads the apparatus committee and the captain cadre training group. He has previously served on CalFire Incident Management Team 2 and currently serves on the Sacramento Incident Management Team. He was promoted to Battalion Chief in 2022.
B-Shift
Battalion Chief Eric Lefkove oversees programs management as well as the B-Shift. Chief Lefkove has 33 years of experience and started working for the Folsom Fire Department in 1990. He has worked his way through the ranks as a firefighter/paramedic, engineer, captain, and battalion chief.
C-Shift
Battalion Chief Matt McGee oversees fleet management as well as the C-Shift. He joined the Folsom Fire Department as a lateral firefighter/paramedic in 2002. He promoted to engineer in 2007, captain in 2015, and battalion chief in 2021. He is a member of the following groups: Sacramento Regional Operational Guidelines Committee and Sacramento Regional Incident Management Team. Matt holds an associate degree in Fire Service Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management from Waldorf University. He has California State Fire Marshall certification as a Fire Officer and Chief Fire Officer.
