On Jan. 28, 2020, the City Council unanimously passed Ordinance No. 1299 - An Ordinance Repealing and Replacing the Tree Preservation Ordinance as set forth in Chapter 12.16 of the Folsom Municipal Code. Additionally, Council passed Resolution No. 10377 - A Resolution Amending Resolution No. 4792 to Increase the city's Tree Mitigation Fees. City staff is very appreciative of all the Folsom residents, business owners, and stakeholders who participated in the update endeavor. The new Tree Preservation Ordinance and updated mitigation in-lieu fee of $250 per inch took effect on April 1, 2020.
