Your old prescription medications may bring new dangers- avoid letting old prescription drugs fall into the wrong hands by properly disposing of old medications.

Folsom Police Department has a prescription drug take back bin located in its lobby at 46 Natoma Street. The bin may be accessed during normal business hours.

Accepted items include:

• Unused or expired prescription medications (including Schedule II-V controlled substances)
• Unused or expired over-the-counter medications

We do not accept:

• Illegal drugs
• Thermometers
• Needles
• Sharps
• Aerosol cans

Medications may be kept in their original containers, but please remember to remove any personal identifying information from the container, such as your name, phone number, address, and prescription number.
