We welcome all types of Adopt-A-Street volunteers! Here’s a list of groups that typically participate:

• Service organizations
• Schools
• Local businesses
• Civic groups
• Other organizations

• Volunteers pick up litter and/or perform weed abatement on city streets, in public parking lots, or along the rail corridor.
• The program requires volunteers to pick up litter or pull weeds at least once every two months.
• We encourage volunteers to pick up litter or pull weeds as often as possible.
• The city will provide trash bags and disposal of filled bags.
• The area adopted can be as large as you would like, but no less than half a mile.

To acknowledge a volunteer’s contribution to the Adopt-A-Street program, the city will install and maintain a sign at each end of the adopted area bearing the name of the sponsoring organization. Volunteers will also receive a Certificate of Participation from the city.
