Connect Card
The Connect Card is the Sacramento region’s new way to pay transit fares for both bus and light rail.
The Connect Card is a plastic, reloadable smart card with an embedded computer chip that can store cash value, daily or monthly passes and discount fare. It provides a convenient, secure way to pay your fare and offers a great alternative to traditional paper passes, transfers or having to carry exact change.
You can use the Connect Card to ride on nine transit systems across the region.
Connect Card Readers are installed on all of the participating agency's buses and at all Regional Transit light rail stations. You will be able to add fare onto your Connect Card at select Raley's/Bel-Air market locations, please reference the Connect Card website for the most up to date list of participating Raley's/Bel-Air markets. Participating agencies include Folsom Stage Line, Sacramento Regional Transit, E-tran, El Dorado Transit, Placer County Transit, Roseville Transit, South County Transit Link, Yolobus, and Yuba-Sutter Transit.
If you are eligible for discount fares as a senior, youth/student, or person with disabilities, you must visit a participating transit agency’s customer service center to get a new Photo ID printed on a Connect Card. This serves as verification to ride at the discounted rate. Once you have your specially encoded Discount Connect Card, you may load discounted transit fare online and at participating transit agencies.
Get your Connect Card online or visit a participating transit agency's customer service center. In Folsom, transit riders can get a Connect Card at the City Hall Customer Service Counter at 50 Natoma Street between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday - Friday.
